Instant noodle specimens is a story of archeologists in the future who found specimens of left over object of our civilisation. They found that there was an object that the people of the past used to call instant noodles. Taking samples of instant noodles artefacts from different places and different timings, these archeologists try to discover the past to see how life is like today with analysis of each instant noodle artefact. Using the analysis result we can also analyse what their world is like, what has changed has happened and what has changed in the time between ours and theirs. We are also invited to reflect on the tracks that we are going to leave behind that will identify our generation in the future.

We found this specimen while looking for an underwater city that was believed to have submerged due to a rise of the water level a few hundred years ago. This finding helped prove the existence and location of the previously mythical city. The corals are believed to have grown on the specimen over the period of time in the ocean, as it tries to adapts in becoming part of the earth.

The green clumps growing on the instant noodles are called moss. Moss is a type of plant that was widely spread a few hundred years ago. Humans needed these plants because they are the only known source of oxygen. This is most probably the reason human tried to keep their living condition moist where mosses and other type of plants can grow freely.

This specimen was found in an abandoned city where the first ozone hole appeared. The Ozone layer was a protective gas which existed in the atmosphere. It protected Earth from the sun’s ultraviolet ray and radiation, allowing humans to live freely without any protective gear. Its disappearance caused a sudden rise in temperature which we believed caused the abandonment of the city and burnt many objects such as the specimen above.

This specimen is covered with a material called wax. This material was used to make a candle, a tool that used as a temporary, emergency light source. This specimen was found inside a emergency supply in an old war barracks. The wax is believed to have accidentally melted on the instant noodle due to the heat. This material can not longer be used today because of its low melting point.

This specimen is part of the collection found at an abandoned instant noodle factory. It is believed to be a remain of a failed experiment to create the instant noodle that we know today. When it was first invented, despite being called instant, it actually took a few minutes to cook a pack of instant noodles. The experiment is believed to have succeeded in cooking the noodles in a few seconds but the ingredients made the soup solid, trapping and preserving the noodles inside.
